In this scenario, changes associated with technological development, customer preferences and climate change have an increasingly significant impact on traditional ways of doing business, underlining the importance of organizations’ ability to keep pace with innovations, to remain competitive by exploiting the advantages of digital technologies. Therefore, the regeneration of business models is becoming an increasingly crucial factor for survival in the era of technological disruption.
On the other hand, changes to business models are recognized as a fundamental approach to achieving innovations for sustainability, leading to improved economic, environmental and social organizational performance.
The ability to innovate in the field of sustainability represents a necessary business property, both linked to small incremental steps and to radical and disruptive innovations, where business model innovation is configured as a mechanism for integrating sustainability into the business.
Furthermore, sustainability innovations affect all operational processes and practices, integrating the organization’s system of thought, towards the reconfiguration of various corporate aspects such as capabilities, relationships with stakeholders, knowledge management, leadership and culture.
This book intends to explore the pathway of sustainable and innovative business management practices, highlighting the challenges of knowledge flows in the era of disruptive entrepreneurship through the integration of digital technologies in a human-centric perspective for well-being value creation.
